History

Dr Subodh Mitra a Gynaecological Cancer Surgeon of international fame known for MITRA OPERATION was the founder of Chittaranjan National Cancer Centre Kolkata One of his ambitions of life was to establish a Cancer Hospital in Kolkata To perpetuate his ambition a TRUST was formed in the name of Subodh Mitra Memorial Trust after his death

the foundation stone for the hospital was laid by Late Swami Lokeswarananda on 14th April 1996Subodh Mitra Cancer Hospital amp Research Centre was officially opened by his Excellency Dr A R Kidwai Governor of West Bengal India on 15th April 1999
