Sri Suttur Veerasimhasana Math was established by Adi Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Bhagawathpadaru at Suttur in Nanjangud Taluk of Mysore district during the second half of tenth century

Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr Shivarathri Rajendra Maha Swamigalavaru the 23rd pontiff of Sri Suttur Veerasimhasana Math was the architect and founder of JSS Mahavidhyapeetha which was established in the year 1954 His successor Jagadguru Sri Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji is the present and the 24th pontiff of Sri Suttur Veerasimhasana Math and also is the President of JSS Mahavidyapeetha In the last few years several institutions have shown rapid progress due to His blessings personal involvement and immense support and guidance His Holiness has remained a guiding force for us in building the JSS Dental College amp Hospital
