Every year at AEC more than 35000 patients are examined cataract surgeries in excess of 3000 performed and close to 1000 glaucoma patients operated In addition a variety of other procedures like squint surgeries ptosis surgeries lid operations refractive surgeries etc are regularly performed at the centre The centre aims annually to operate at least 400 economically challenged patients free of cost apart from providing other free ophthalmic services
