The Womens Centre for Health Matters Inc WCHM is a communitybased organisation which works in the ACT and surrounding region to improve womens health and wellbeing WCHM believes that the environment and life circumstances which each woman experiences affects her health outcomes

WCHM focuses on areas of possible disadvantage and uses research community development and health promotion to

provide women with access to reliable and broad ranging healthrelated
information which allows informed choices to be made about each womans own
health and wellbeing and

advocate to influence change in healthrelated services to ensure
responsiveness to womens needs

Empowering women to enhance their health and wellbeing

VISION
Women can choose and access responsive womenfocussed health and wellbeing services

VALUES
We believe that womens health and ability to live healthy lifestyles is
affected by social and economic factors known as the social determinants of
health
