Jackson Park Hospital amp Medical Center is a 326bed acute shortterm comprehensive care facility serving the south side of Chicago since 1913 The hospital offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic therapeutic and ancillary services with a commitment to medical education at all levels The hospital offers full medical surgical obstetric pediatric psychiatric and medical stabilization detox services as well as medical subspecialties including cardiology pulmonary gastrointestinal disease renal orthopedics ENT ophthalmology infectious disease HIVSTD hematologyoncology and geriatrics Quality ambulatory care is provided through the family medicine center FMC senior health center SCC and Korshak center subspecialty clinics including HIVSTD clinics conveniently located within the same premises

The emergency department projects approximately 25000 patient visits annually with fulltime attending physician coverage nurse practitioners resident physicians and medical students

The hospital also provides medical education and training through its family medicine residency program and several affiliated medical schools

The hospital serves a very high indigent population Approximately 80 percent of the hospitals patients are covered by Medicare and Medicaid Since 1959 Jackson Park Hospital amp Medical Center has invested more than 32M in expansion and renovation to provide services that were previously unavailable in the community it serves and yet constantly strives to better serve the growing needs of the community
