History

Thanks to a growth spurt that occurred in Fernandina in the late 1930s a fullservice hospital opened in Fernandina in 1942 The hospital like the community has made great strides since then In the late 1970s it moved to its current location at Lime Street and South 18th Street In 1994 it joined Baptist Health a notforprofit comprehensive health system based in Jacksonville that is considered one of the most progressive and respected in the region
