Divine Heart amp Multispecialty Hospital is an associate hospital of Divine Heart Foundation India established by Prof AK Srivastava Former Head of Department of Cardiac Surgery at State Premier Postgraduate Medical Institute SGPGIMS at Lucknow

As a modest beginning Foundation started with 25 beds in a rented premise in Gomti Nagar in March 2003 By Divine Grace active support of society and medical fraternity this hospital has grown to a 100 beds heart hospital over a period of three years of hard and dedicated work

Dr APJ Abdul Kalam then the President of Republic of India kindly blessed and inaugurated the new hospital complex on March 03 2006 The hospital has been running fully functional since then

Our Founder President Prof AK Srivastava MS Gen Surg MCh Cardiac Surg FAMS

Prof AK Srivastava is a world renowned cardiac surgeon having vast experience of more than 25 years in the specialty of Cardiovascular amp Thoracic surgery A medical graduate from King George Medical College Lucknow Dr Srivastava did his Master of Surgery in General Surgery and Master of Surgery in Cardiac surgery from Institute of Medical Sciences Banaras Hindu University Varanasi He has worked in different capacity in the country and abroad from Lecturer to lastly Professor amp Head of the Department at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences at Lucknow from where he resigned in April 2002 to set up his own hospital by the name of Divine Heart Hospital

Dr Srivastava has also been a postgraduate teacher in the various institutions in India and abroad and has guided supervised and trained more than 35 hospital Senior resident doctors amp 25 postdoctoral postgraduate students leading to the award of MCh in Cardiovascular amp Thoracic Surgery degree He has been engaged in quality research work in this field and has published about 50 research papers in National amp International journals of repute Dr Srivastava during his entire tenure has performed more than 10000 Open Heart Surgeries

While undergoing training in HeartLung Transplantation at Papworth Hospital at Cambridge UK in 1996 he was deeply influenced with the pattern amp activities of British Heart Foundation On return to India he established a similar foundation named as Divine Heart Foundation a registered charitable Society to create awareness among masses with regard to genesis prevention and treatment of heart diseases in the country

His zeal to serve humanity with utmost sincerity at large has acted as a driving factor in making him a force to reckon within both social and business circles He is wholly dedicated to serve his people by providing them world class heart care at affordable costs
