History
St Josephs HospitalFoyer dYouville is a charitable organization founded in 1928 by the Grey Nuns of Manitoba and located in Gravelbourg Saskatchewan

Motivated by a Christian philosophy in the Catholic tradition care is provided to the elderly the disabled and the sick emphasized by the dignity of the person respect for human life and nobleness of service to others

The original hospital received patients on April 29 1928

Foyer dYouville was built and connected to St Josephs HospitalFoyer dYouville in 1961

The current facility opened on November 13 1996

In 1993 Health Districts were established in Saskatchewan and St Josephs HospitalFoyer dYouville became an affiliate of South Country District Health based out of Assiniboia Saskatchewan

In 2000 the Health Districts were dissolved and Regions were formed St Josephs HospitalFoyer dYouville became an affiliate of Five Hills Health Region out of Moose Jaw Saskatchewan

In October 2000 ownership of St Josephs HospitalFoyer dYouville by the Grey Nuns was transferred to the Saskatchewan Catholic Health Corporation on behalf of the Catholic Community of the Province and under the leadership of the Bishops Since then the SCHC has changed its name to the Catholic Health Ministry of Saskatchewan

Today St Josephs HospitalFoyer dYouville is an integrated 9 acute care bed and 50 long term care bed facility with 24 hour emergency service
